Our bespoke uniform
At KT Leigh Dance Academy, we take pride in wearing our school uniform. Our professionally made, bespoke uniform is made to order by Razzle Dazzle Costumes Ltd. We offer a wide range of uniform pieces for our dancers that include leotards, crop tops, leggings, shorts, and jackets. Our main aim is to ensure that all dancers feel comfortable in their uniform for all lessons and look smart representing the dance school.
Please bear in mind, as our uniform is made to order, there is a six-week lead time from ordering to receiving any uniform.

Dance Shoes Requirements
Ballet shoes
- Shoes: Dancers must wear 1st Position or Starlite pink leather ballet shoes. These are available for purchase at Dance Direct or our local dance shop, Love to Dance
- Socks/Tights: Silky Dance pink ballet socks or pink convertible ballet tights are mandatory. These items can be found at Dance Direct for socks, and Move Dancewear for tights
Tap shoes
- Shoes for Ages 8 and Under: Bloch Merry Jane Tap shoes in black are required
- Shoes for Ages 9+: Dancers must wear Bloch Basic Jazz Tap shoes in black. Both types of shoes can be purchased at Move Dancewear or Love to Dance
Jazz shoes
- Shoes: All dancers need to wear Roch Valley Neoprene slip-on jazz shoes in black, available at Dancewear Central or Love to Dance

Examination Uniform Requirements
Ballet and Tap Exams
Each grade level for Ballet and Tap exams has a designated leotard that dancers are required to wear. Each examination grade in Ballet and Tap will have a specific leotard that dancers will be required to wear. Miss Katie will always inform parents of what leotards each age group will be required to wear for exams.
Acro Exams Uniform
For Acro examinations, dancers are expected to wear our bespoke leotard, bespoke shorts, and tan footless tights. Miss Katie will provide further details and guidance prior to examinations.
